form submit requires user ID & password

Hello, In searching web for others who might have solved my problem, I found it listed exactly in your forum on 8-8-08 & joined your forum to try & follow that thread further. Cannot find it now so am asking for help. I have created forms & published in FrontPage. The host server has FP extensions installed. When hitting the submit button, one gets a prompt for an authentication: [A username and password are being requested by http://www.cfrinsurance.com. The site says: ":"] I am new to website building & apologize in advance if this is a nuisance question. The response I saw to this question on your forum did not seem to apply here. I have no password protected forms/files on this site other than the actual site user ID & pass, etc. Also, if I've wrapped my forms in other forms, I am unaware. Will be very grateful for guidance. One of the problem forms is located at http://cfrinsurance.com/auto_quote.htm. Thank you.

RE: form submit requires user ID & password

I am experiencing the same problem. Created a Guest Book page in Front Page 2003. Published web site to my 0catch account. Accessed the web page thru Mozilla and IE and received the "user id and pw required'. Still experimenting as to what to do .

I found the post from 8-8-2008 you are looking for.

I will shortly try the suggestions to resolve the problem. If you have resolved the situation, PLEASE post your solution.
Thanks.

RE: form submit requires user ID & password

I deleted the guest book and created another. Also created a Feedback page. Published the FrontPage 2003 web site.
The Used-ID/password window continues to be displayed.
I reviewed all the FP requirements for creating the guestbook and feedback form and nothing for passwords or ID in the setup process. Also have read thru FP Step-by-Step and Inside-Out books - no information. Searched the internet for solutions - no luck, but still searching.
Any help is appreciated. thanks, larry

RE: form submit requires user ID & password

I would like to help you out, but I don't use FrontPage. Have you tried contacting 0catch directly? There may be an issue with software that handles the FrontPage extensions.

If it was me, I would delete everything on my web site, reset the FrontPage Extensions, and then re-publish everything. But that may not be feasable in your case.

As I have said before, paid members can use the phone support at 1-888-805-4495. I haven't heard from them or had to call them in a while, so I don't know how responsive it might be. Or, if you prefer, you can email your problem to 0catch using the 0catch Tech Support Form.
